If only…

If only every day were so easy. Got up, my boss picked my wife and I up and we went to sell a washer and dryer to his son. Moving the things was a minor pain in the ass but nothing severe. Came home, dicked around for a couple hours and then went to work downstairs at the restaurant. Thank dirt it was a slow night. I think we had maybe ten or fifteen customers. Easy peasy. Got done early, was home by a quarter after nine. Wifey napped on the couch, I decided I was going to expose myself to some new kinds of music. I had a feeling that music other than angry punk rock may, in fact, exist…but I wasn’t sure. Turned out it does exist, and some of it is pret near great. I wound up on this neat little internet radio station called 8tracks where I listened to something called “chillstep”, which I guess is some type of subdirectory of dubstep. Which has a funky beat and you can bug out to it. Apparently lots of people bug out to it because it seems to be a pretty popular style of electronic music these days. Well. knowing me, mr. better get a late pass, it was probably pretty popular in like 06. At any rate I’m listening to some Dubstep right while I’m typing this. Its freaky, in the fly freaky sense. Bass, big feel nit in your chest bass. And the freakyest shit I’ve ever heard anyone do with fucked up electronic noises. This shit is bass imploded and formed into beat ammunition for fucking lazer cannons.Yeah, the shit be soundin jus like dat. This is like the Heavy Metal of electronic music. What would you call that?  Heavy Circuit Board? Led Analog? Fuck if I know.

I must do this more often. Instead of relying on my 80 some gigs worth of punk to entertain me I should find new, interesting, and exiting musical genres to be stoked on for a month before loading up the Poison Idea discography and immersing myself in all 38 albums…So I can stand tall having never played with a glowstick or worn a track suit. Cause in the end, when its all said and fucking done with punk still rules,ok?
