Visualize World Insomnia

Picture taken in May from my side porch before bed. An upshot of working second shift is I get done around eleven pm and I can stay up to see the sun rise then still get the mandatory eight before having to go to the job.
Composition wise I’m not a big fan of this one, however this fills my first reader request so I’m stoked. Remember kids: At Sun Burns Cold we aim to accommodate the members of our readership who do not keep gravediggers hours.

  1. Very different light but beautiful. I like the sky, how the clouds fade out to blue in the corners.
I realised last night it was the colors in Maxfield Parrish’s illustrations that I was reminded of. I have always been taken with the way he used and painted the sky.

  2. Chances are, someone you know takes a sleeping pill. One in four Americans takes a sleep aid every year, according to the National Sleep Foundation, and the numbers are even higher for women — one in three uses some sort of sleep medication a few times a week. Why do women have such trouble sleeping? The reasons are as numerous as the passel of pills on the market: anxiety, depression, chronic illness, restless legs syndrome, sleep apnea, everyday exhaustion … the list goes on and on. No wonder so many sleep aids are available.”
